On May 30, a ceremony was held at the National Bank of Tajikistan to announce the winners of the contest "The Best Credit Financial Institution to Serve Women's Entrepreneurship." The event was attended by the bank's management, the Chairman of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, representatives from credit financial institutions, the Association of Banks of Tajikistan, the Association of Microfinance Organizations of Tajikistan, the jury and organizers, development partners, as well as mass media.
The aforementioned contest, which is being held for the second year within the framework of the "Action Plan for 2023-2025 of the State Programme for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2027," was summarised based on the activity of credit financial institutions in the previous year. The contest was held in several categories, including the best credit financial institution to grant a loan or Islamic financing to women entrepreneurs, attract deposits from women entrepreneurs, install electronic payment means (POS terminal and QR code) for women entrepreneurs, and implement projects to support women's entrepreneurship.
Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, opened the event and noted that the purpose of the contest is primarily to ensure the implementation of item 32 of the State Programme for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2027 approved by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (from November 29, 2023, No. 545), as well as increasing women's business access to low-cost financial resources and improving the level and quality of financial services.
In turn, Bunafsha Fayziddinzoda, Chairman of the Women and Family Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, noted that in today's conditions, business activity, including women's entrepreneurship, is considered one of the main driving forces of the economy in solving the main economic issues, such as creating new jobs, introducing modern technology, increasing the income of the population, reducing the level of poverty, and, in general, contributing significantly to long-term economic development.
Following the contest’s conclusion, the prize winners were presented with cups, diplomas, honorary and appreciation certificates. Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Women and Family Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Bunafsha Fayziddinzoda, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management Khurshedai Qodir, Deputies Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Ikromi and Gulbahor Naziri presented the contest winners with awards.
SUE Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbank" won first place in the nomination "The best credit financial institution to grant a loan/Islamic financing to women entrepreneurs," followed by CJSC "First Microfinance Bank" and SUEIEBT "Sanoatsodirotbank" in third.
CJSC MDO HUMO won first place in the nomination "The best credit financial institution to attract deposits from women entrepreneurs", LLC MDO «Fazo S» took 2nd place, and OJSC «Orienbank» won 3rd place.
According to the results of the category "The best credit financial institution to install electronic means of payment (POS-terminal and QR-code) for women entrepreneurs," OJSC "Eskhata Bank" won first place, followed by OJSC "Alif Bank" in second and JSC "International Bank of Tajikistan" in third place. In the nomination "The best credit financial institution to implement projects related to the support of women's entrepreneurship," CJSC Bank «Arvand» won first place followed by LLC MDO «Finka» in second place, and CJSC MDO «Imon International» in third.
CJSC "Spitamen Bank," OJSC "Kommersbanki Tajikistan," OJSC "Tawhidbank," CJSC "Active Bank," and CJSC "Bonki Rushdi Tojikiston" received Honorary Diplomas from the National Bank of Tajikistan for their contributions to the development of the banking system and active participation in the contest "The Best Credit Financial Institution to Serve Women's Entrepreneurship."
At the same time, LLC MDO «Furuz», LLC MDO «Matin», LLC MDO «Azizi-Moliya», LLC MDO «Zudamal», CJSC MDO «Ardo-Capital», and CJSC MDO «Sanduq» received certificates of appreciation of the National Bank of Tajikistan for their active participation in the contest.
Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, concluded the event by thanking the participants for their significant contributions to the development of the country's banking system and financial industry. He also wished them every success in their future activity.
