In general, in the republic for the period January-December 2025, more than 748.5 million payments in the amount of 3 490.3 billion somoni were made through various payment methods (intra-bank, through direct correspondent relations and through correspondent accounts opened with the National Bank of Tajikistan). The number of payments compared to the same period last year increased by 9.7% and the total volume of payments increased by 35.3%.
As of December 31, 2025, credit financial institutions opened 17.3 million bank accounts for clients, of which 17.1 million accounts belong to individuals and 0.2 million accounts to legal entities. The number of customer bank accounts in credit financial institutions increased by 3.2 million or 22.5% compared to the same period last year, which indicates an increase in public confidence in the country's banking system.
