In general, in the republic for the period January-September 2025, more than 545.2 million payments in the amount of 2 381.8 billion somoni were made through various payment methods (intra-bank, through direct correspondent relations and through correspondent accounts opened with the National Bank of Tajikistan). The number of payments compared to the same period last year increased by 12.9% and the total volume of payments increased by 29.1%.
As of September 30, 2025, credit financial institutions opened 16.0 million bank accounts for clients, of which 15.9 million accounts belong to individuals and 0.15 million accounts to legal entities. The number of customer bank accounts in credit financial institutions increased by 2.6 million or 19.7% compared to the same period last year, which indicates an increase in public confidence in the country's banking system.
