On September 2, 2026, Daler Murodalizoda, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, met with Ms. Eri Dwivedi, Deputy Head of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative Office in the Republic of Tajikistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening cooperation in developing the economic and financial skills of adolescents and young people, particularly those with disabilities, as part of the implementation of the Financial Literacy Program for 2026–2030, as well as expanding entrepreneurial opportunities and preparing them for the labor market.
The parties emphasized that developing financial knowledge and skills is one of the key factors in expanding financial inclusion and engaging youth and women in the country's economic life. The National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026 and the Financial Literacy Program identify access to financial services, the development of digital financial services, and the protection of financial consumers as priority areas.
Furthermore, the parties commended the National Bank of Tajikistan for its efforts to improve financial literacy and expressed their willingness to expand training in practical financial skills, as well as to identify and implement joint initiatives aimed at boosting economic potential and creating new opportunities for adolescents and young adults.
