On September 17, 2025, a meeting of the First Deputy Chairman Firuz Sharifzoda with founders of the Uzbek company OZPLANET LLC and the Head of the Asset-Based Financing Program of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) was held at the National Bank of Tajikistan. During the meeting, the parties have exchanged views on the opportunities of a digital factoring platform and expanding cooperation in this area.
The First Deputy Chairman of National Bank of Tajikistan Firuz Sharifzoda has noted that the digitalization of financial services is one of the priority tasks of the National Bank of Tajikistan, and in this regard, the introduction of an electronic factoring platform, which has enormous potential to support small and medium-sized businesses, ensure payment transparency, and stimulate capital flow in the economy, is timely and useful.
Firuz Sharifzoda has stated that a bilateral agreement between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the International Finance Corporation was signed in 2024 as part of the Roadmap for the implementation of the Asset-Based Financing program for small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of Tajikistan. The main goal of this program is to expand access of small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of Tajikistan to financial services and alternative credit products, and asset-based financing can facilitate this process.
At the same time, it was noted that the program and electronic platform on creating favorable conditions for financing based on movable assets, in particular the creation of a digital factoring platform, will enable simple and fast settlements between entrepreneurs and their suppliers.
During the meeting, representatives of OZPLANET LLC have provided the information on digital factoring platform in the Republic of Uzbekistan and demonstrated its operation in practice. It should be noted that OZPLANET LLC is the developer, owner, and operator of one of the digital factoring platforms in the Republic of Uzbekistan and has experience in digitalizing banking services in Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, the parties have exchanged views on other areas of further cooperation and expressed their willingness to expand it.
