The next Financial Literacy Festival was held on June 25, 2025 in Tursunzoda city by the initiative of the National Bank of Tajikistan, in cooperation with financial and credit institutions, insurance organizations, and development partners.

At the opening ceremony, Daler Murodalizoda, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan and Parviz Akramzoda, Mayor of Tursunzoda have spoken about the importance of financial literacy, the need to raise public awareness on financial issues and its role in the economic development of the country.

It was noted that financial literacy festivals serve not only as educational events but also as valuable opportunities for communication with experts, experience sharing, and familiarization with new financial tools.

In the first part of the festival, specialists of the National Bank of Tajikistan, insurance organizations, and payment and transfer systems have made presentations on various topics, including: “Development of Islamic Banking in Tajikistan,” “Prevention of Financial Fraud,” “The Role of Financial Institutions in Raising Financial Literacy Levels,” “The Importance of Non-Cash Payments,” and “Prospects for the Digitization of the Insurance System in the Republic of Tajikistan.” Participants have been introduced with modern practices in these areas. Additionally, a Q&A contest was held, and active participants have been awarded with commemorative gifts.

The second part of the event took place in the square in front of the “Kokhi Dusti” (Palace of Friendship) and there was held a fair of financial and insurance products and services. Financial and insurance institutions have presented their products for festival participants.

The final part featured a vibrant cultural program with the participation of famous singers and musicians of the country along with a prize raffle contest on financial knowledge questions, which made the atmosphere even more festive for the participants.

It is worth noting that the Financial Literacy Festivals are held in the framework of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022–2026. Their goal is to improve public financial literacy, expand the access to financial and insurance services and to introduce such services to population.
