Discussion of Cooperation Prospects with the IFAD

On June 24, 2025, the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Gulbahor Naziri held a virtual meeting with the delegation of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) led by the Fund’s Regional Coordinator, Mr. Pavel Shust.

During the meeting, the parties have discussed strengthening cooperation within the framework of the REMIT PRIME Program, assessed the current situation of its implementation, and explored the potential involvement of IFAD in the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022–2026.

The parties also have exchanged views on the process of developing and implementing the State Program on Enhancing Financial Literacy of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, as well as on the establishment of a Banking Academy under the Research Institute of the National Bank of Tajikistan.

Both parties have expressed their willingness to extend bilateral cooperation, taking into account national priorities and the prospects for advancing financial inclusion.
