Presentation of Investment Opportunities for Tajikistan in Indonesia


On November 22 of this year, as part of a working visit by a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan to Jakarta, a meeting was held with representatives of the Export-Import Bank (EXIMBANK). During the meeting, the parties discussed financing joint investment projects, providing credit lines for export operations, organizing business development forums, and exchanging of experience on entrepreneurship.

Later that day, the delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan was received by the Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Faisal Riza. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations, industrial technologies, attracting direct investment, cooperation documents signed with Indonesian companies during this visit, and considered the expansion of economic relations important for both countries.

Later that day, the delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri. During the meeting, information was provided on Tajikistan's favorable investment climate and opportunities for cooperation in various fields. The parties discussed prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation, including strengthening investment cooperation, implementing joint investment projects, exchanging visits between business circles, and learning from each other's experiences.

The delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan then met with the leadership and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Indonesia at the Chamber. They discussed strengthening trade relations. During the meeting, investment opportunities in Tajikistan's economic sectors were presented through presentations on industry, minerals, trade and logistics, as well as the republic's tax policy.

It is worth noting that throughout the working visit, delegation members also held separate discussions with Indonesian investors. In particular, the First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Firuz Sharifzoda, held fruitful meetings with a group of influential Indonesian businessmen on opening subsidiary banks, branches or representative offices in Tajikistan, Islamic banking, affordable mortgage loans, and other issues related to the development of the banking system.

Overall, the meetings were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and a healthy and inclusive dialogue took place between the parties on various fronts to seek new avenues for trade and economic cooperation.
