On November 21, as part of a working visit to Southeast Asian countries, a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan met with Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development of Singapore.

The meeting focused on opportunities for bilateral cooperation and investment in various fields, including green economy, green energy, artificial intelligence, mineral mining and processing, banking, and the organization of training courses in areas such as tax administration, finance, and customs.
Later that day, Sharifzoda Firuz, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, met with Mr. Yeo Hong Nam, Head of the Financial Institutions Group at DBS Bank (Development Bank of Singapore), in Singapore.
The two parties engaged in a productive discussion on several topics: advanced risk management strategies, support for green finance initiatives, opening correspondent and deposit accounts for foreign currency transactions, the possibility of using a custodian account to participate in international financial markets, and the establishment of cooperation between DBS Bank and systemically important banks of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be noted that DBS Bank is one of the largest banks in Singapore and Southeast Asia, providing a wide range of banking products and services, including retail banking, corporate banking, wealth management, and investment banking.
