On October 8, 2024, a round table was held at the National Bank of Tajikistan as part of the action plan for the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026. At the outset, Gulbahor Naziri, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, stated that the event aims to showcase modern international best practices in financial services. The goal is to provide industry participants and stakeholders with the opportunity to develop a centralized website for comparing prices and offers, determine the steps involved in developing and operating such a platform, and select an appropriate model for Tajikistan. The event also serves as a forum for exchanging opinions on this matter.
Pietro Calice, Head of the World Bank Group's financial sector delegation in Europe and Central Asia, stated that such websites aim to create the necessary conditions for obtaining affordable financial services with favorable terms. Choosing a credit organization that meets consumer needs through these websites is economically beneficial and will be encouraged.
Afterward, Monika Arutyunyan, an international consultant for the World Bank, introduced the participants to other countries' experiences in this area, providing a global perspective. Attendees also learned about best practices in developing and regulating a centralized website for comparing prices and offers and shared their opinions on the subject.
