It is important to mention that Google Pay is effective in countries with developed non-cash payment systems, and Tajikistan is now the 74th country to offer this service. This system enables transactions to be completed in business and service establishments using Android smartphones that have NFC technology. Payment card holders can securely and conveniently make cashless transactions without needing to use their cards. Google Pay serves as a technological bridge only connecting the payment card holder with the point of sale and services, while all monetary transactions are completed via international payment systems.

OJSC "Alif Bank" in Tajikistan has become the first to successfully join the Google Pay system, allowing customers to link their Visa cards and make non-cash payments at POS-terminals of trade and service establishments. Several more credit and financial institutions that are part of the global payment networks Visa and Mastercard are anticipated to soon provide non-cash transactions via Google Pay.
