On April 17 of the current year, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Hokim Kholiqzoda, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Mr. Bo Li, IMF Deputy Managing Director.
At the beginning of the meeting, Head of the delegation Kholiqzoda Hokim appreciated the IMF Deputy Managing Director, Bo Li for the long-term and fruitful cooperation and continuous support in economic reforms, as well as the approval of Policy Coordination Instrument, which will play an effective role in improving the investment climate. In this regard, it was mentioned that the implementation of the quantitative and targeted indicators of the Program reforms depends on the timely provision of technical and advisory assistance provided for in this Program.
In addition, given that the IMF's lending instruments are constantly being improved to meet the changing needs of countries, we need the IMF's support in providing long-term affordable financing to strengthen resistance to external shocks, including climate change preparedness, - Hokim Kholiqzoda said.
During the meeting, the Tajik side considered the assistance of the International Monetary Fund in the formation of institutions and human capacity development through the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Center as acceptable.
IMF Deputy Managing Director, Bo Li, in his turn, expressed his readiness for dialogue and beneficial cooperation, and expressed his satisfaction with the current achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It should be noted that at this meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kholiqzoda H.H. was accompanied by Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda F.N., Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan at the IMF and the World Bank Amirzoda P.H. and Director of International Reserves Management and Exchange Rate Policy Department of the National Bank of Tajikistan Boyakov Z.G.
