Participation in the Extraordinary Meeting of the Heads of Arab States and Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

On September 15, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, participated in and delivered a speech in the Extraordinary Meeting of the Heads of Arab States and Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar.
First, the Head of our state expressed his regret over the military attack on the State of Qatar that occurred on September 9, calling this act an aggression against the independence and territorial integrity of our brotherly country.
“We once again strongly condemn this act of aggression, which is a gross and blatant violation of international law and the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations,” -said the President of our country, Emomali Rahmon.
During his speech, our Head of State analyzed the alarming events and trends in the Middle East region, which pose a serious threat to international security, and drew the attention of the heads of state and other participants of the meeting to finding ways to solve these problems.
“It is a matter of deep regret that over the past two years the international community has witnessed the tragic human situation in the Gaza Strip, and the aspirations of the Palestinian people still remain a pressing issue on the international agenda,” - stated the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon.
It was emphasized that any violent actions in the region today lead to increased tension and the outbreak of new conflicts, and they, in particular, create obstacles to the process of negotiations and dialogue aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
In the complex and complicated geopolitical conditions of the region and the world, Emomali Rahmon considered it necessary to strengthen the solidarity of the Muslim Ummah more than ever.
It was stated that without effective and beneficial cooperation between the parties in the fields of trade and economy, investment and advanced technologies, it is impossible to achieve the highest goals of the organization.
Our Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, considered the stable economic and social development of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation a reliable guarantee of ensuring security, stability, and well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
It was further emphasized that today the Muslim Ummah is facing the tragic dangers of terrorism, extremism and other threats to human civilization.
A unified and joint approach of the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in combating these dangerous factors was called the need of the hour.
The President of our country, Emomali Rahmon, recalled the enormous contribution of our past thinkers and geniuses to the formation of human civilization, especially the culture of peacemaking and peaceful coexistence, and considered it necessary to continue to improve the ideology of our societies in the spirit of good and constructive values, based on this rich common heritage, and demonstrate to the world the solidarity of the Muslim Ummah.
In his closing remarks, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, expressed the hope that “our today's meeting will contribute to strengthening unity and solidarity in the face of the dangers and threats of modern times and preventing any violations of accepted international laws”.
