Consideration of prospects for cooperation with IMF managers

During his working visit to the IMF and World Bank Group Spring Meetings, F. N. Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, met with a number of IMF directors.

   

In particular, on April 18, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan had a meeting with Director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department, Jihad Azour, and Matthew Gartner, Head of the IMF Mission in the Republic of Tajikistan. At the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the approved Program process (Policy Coordination Instrument), technical and advisory assistance provided under this Program for human capacity development, and long-term financing options for strengthening resistance to external shocks and climate change.

In addition, during the Spring Meetings, Tolibzoda F.N. met with IMF Deputy Managing Director Mr. Bo Li to discuss the implementation of the Policy Coordination Instrument Program, which aims to increase budgetary and socioeconomic stability, maintain macroeconomic and financial stability, strengthen governance, and improve transparency. On April 19, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan attended a meeting of regional ministries and managers from the Caucasus and Central Asia, which was presided over by IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li.
