Agreement has been signed with the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Given the protection of the country's national interests, the National Bank of Tajikistan cooperates with the central (national) banks of foreign countries, including the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and takes necessary measures to strengthen integration in the financial and banking spheres, coordinate actions in the field of the banking system development, as well as to train specialists and exchange experiences.
In particular, during the participation of the Republic of Tajikistan’s delegation in the Spring Meetings of the member countries of the IMF and the World Bank Group, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan met with the Leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding important issues of the banking and financial systems and the expansion of further cooperation in the direction of sharing information and experience.
At the meeting, the parties also signed the "Agreement between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of monitoring the activity of credit institutions".
It should be noted that this Agreement creates favorable conditions to expand mutual cooperation by harmonizing the views of the parties on the issues of regulation and control of the activities of financial credit institutions, licensing procedures, inspection, crisis management, on-site and remote control, control of the process of receiving and processing financial reports, reveal and monitoring of risks in the activities of credit institutions, implementation and use of the standards of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, conducting stress tests of the activities of credit institutions and exchange of information.
